Formal, professional writing is difficult. I’ve spent years thinking about creating a blog. I’ve even followed through with it a few times. I always hit the same stumbling block though: I was afraid to publish anything that wasn’t perfect.

The goal of this site is to explicitly do the opposite. I want to publish anything that I think could potentially be interesting or useful to anyone at all, without any expectation of quality. I’ll do my best to ensure that the information provided is accurate, but nothing beyond that.

This philosophy is heavily inspired by Quartz (the software I’m using to generate this website) itself, particularly this page in the documentation, this blog post from the creator, and exploring the sites of other Quartz users.

You’re just reading some guy’s notebook. Take it or leave it.
